Robert Leslie: "The answer lies not in the stars, the answer lies only within you"





For some weeks I've been seeing this musician playing the guitar in calle Huertas. I like the timbre of his voice, his dylanesque style and the songs he plays. Actually, he says that his favourite band is The Beatles, which is mine, too. Though his favourite beatles song is "A Day in the Life", while mine... I wouldn't choose that one. In fact, listening to him, I doubt that's his favourite beatles song. 

Many street musicians play in the Huertas area. From the violinist that used to come every weekend, to those who stay for a couple of days, or the ones who sing flamenco in the middle of the night when pubs close.

Robert Leslie is one of the ones I've liked the most.

Llevo unas semanas viendo tocar a este músico en la calle Huertas. Me gusta su timbre voz, su estilo dylanesco y las canciones que toca. Dice que su grupo favorito son los beatles, que es también el mío. Aunque su canción preferida de los beatles es "A Day in the Life" y la mía... no creo que escogiera esa. De hecho, escuchándole, me cuesta creer que esa sea la preferida suya.

En el barrio de Huertas tocan muchos músicos callejeros. Desde el violinista que venía todos los fines de semana, a los que están un par de días, o los que se ponen a cantar flamenco por la noche, después de que hayan cerrado los bares. 

Robert Lesie es uno de los que más me ha gustado.
